Kalebinjak

Kalebinjak is a small island off Rogoznica dived as a full anticlockwise lap at 10 to 17 m. Current is almost always running, and the catalogue's line is that the more of it there is the more you see. The first 20 m of water carries dense vegetation and a mix of fish, while lobsters and snails sit deeper, from about 28 m down.

The dive
The dive is a circuit. You go in at the island and swim anticlockwise around the whole of it at 10 to 17 m, which the catalogue says is how the site works best. Current is almost always present, and the catalogue's line is that the more of it there is the more you will see, so conditions rather than terrain decide how the lap goes. The depth band stays narrow the whole way round.
The first 20 m of water is thick with vegetation and holds a variety of fish rather than one crowd of them. Below the lap depth the ground keeps falling, and from about 28 m lobsters and various sea snails take over from the greenery. The site takes its name from a university biology project that surveyed the habitat here, which is a fair description of the dive itself.

Season follows Primošten & Rogoznica: The swimming season runs June to October; Pongo prices a low season as well, so winter diving happens at around 12–15 °C.
