Grotta del Camino
One cave, two doors: a mouth at 18 m and another on the wall
Grotta del Camino is the first dive inside the Zingaro nature reserve, on the coast between San Vito lo Capo and Scopello. It is a cavity in the reserve's underwater cliff with two openings at very different depths, which lets a dive link a shallow mouth with a deep one cut into the wall.
Also known as Camino.
Where it is and how deep
No published position for this site — the map shows San Vito Lo Capo & Scopello and its other sites; operators know the mooring.
The dive
The cave has two entrances. The upper one opens at 18 m, within reach of a shallower profile, while the lower one opens on the wall itself at about 35 m, so the deep entrance sets the depth of any dive that uses both.
