Techno Reef is a small coral bommie on the eastern side of Sangeang, the active volcano island off east Sumbawa. It is the structural counterpart to the muck slopes at Hot Rocks and Bontoh, and the cluster's best site for reef fish.
Also known as Tikno Reef.

The dive
The dive centres on a single small coral bommie sitting at 12 m in a flat of sand. A resident school of bigeye trevally holds around it, batfish are seen more reliably here than anywhere else on a Sumbawa trip, and dogtooth tuna occasionally pass offshore. The site often runs as the last morning dive of a Sangeang day.
