Tanjung Batuputih is a point on the north coast of Sumbawa, 5 km east of the port entrance to Bima, where a shallow fringing reef ends in a wall. Liveaboards on the way to or from Komodo often stop here for a reef dive with the chance of larger animals passing along the drop-off.
Also known as Batuputih.

The dive
The dive follows the fringing reef from the shallows down to 20 m, where it breaks off into a wall that falls to 40 m. Along the edge of the drop-off there is a good chance of eagle rays around 2 m across and whitetip reef sharks.
