Fenjiezhou Island

Fenjiezhou Island, also called Sleeping Beauty Island for its outline from afar, is a national 5A scenic area in Lingshui Li Autonomous County, about 85 km north-east of Sanya. Its diving mixes reef and sandy bottom, and it gives divers on the Sanya coast a deeper option than the bays.

The dive
Divers enter either from a boat or from the beach and drop over reef and sandy bottom that reach 30 m (98 ft). The water stays between 20 and 27 °C all year, and visibility is usually 8 to 20 m.
