Giants Legs
Half-formed sea stacks off Bard Head, crowded with anemones
Area photo: Ronnie Robertson · CC BY-SA 2.0
The Giants Legs are half-formed sea stacks projecting from Bard Head at the southernmost tip of Bressay. The rock pillars that make up the cliff are covered in life, with nudibranchs, anemones and many kinds of fish, and the scenic dive goes no deeper than 20 m.
Also known as Giant's Legs, Giants Legs sea stacks.

The dive
The dive follows the rock pillars where the Giants Legs stand out from the cliff of Bard Head. Nudibranchs and anemones cover the rock, fish of all kinds move between the pillars, and the deepest part of the site is at 20 m. A sizeable cave is part of the same formation, and a tight, almost impassable passage leads through to another cliff face.
