Koh Waen is a small uninhabited limestone island whose reefs carry diverse hard coral species from 5 m down to 30 m. Its walls and overhangs are the draw: soft corals for macro hunting, sharks tucked under ledges and stingrays on the sand, plus the Black Pearl cave for experienced divers.
Also known as Ko Waen, Koh Wean.

The dive
The limestone island has walls, and one of them is covered in purple and white soft corals where divers search for nudibranchs and tiny shrimps. Along the overhangs nurse and reef sharks sometimes hide, while stingrays rest on the sand. The site runs from 5 m down to 30 m over diverse hard corals. Experienced divers can add the Black Pearl cave, Koh Waen's own 'cathedral'.
