Talisay
Two buoys, east and west, because the wall runs that long

Talisay lies off the beach of the same name, where a plateau of hard coral at around 5 m ends at the lip of a vertical wall that drops to 30 m. It is dived as a drift along the face, and because the site runs long there are two buoys on it, east and west, so guides can start from either end.

The dive
Boats put in front of Talisay beach and tie to one of the two buoys, east or west, and which one you take decides which end of the wall you start from, because the site is too long to cover from a single mooring. The descent lands on a plateau of hard coral at around 5 m, shallow enough that the top of the reef stays lit and easy to work on the way back in.
From the edge of that plateau the reef turns vertical and runs to 30 m. The usual plan is to let the water carry you along the face rather than swim it, holding one depth on the wall and letting the coral and sea fans pass. Sea fans grow out from the face along the length of the site, and the wall is continuous enough that a single drift covers a good stretch of it.

Questions divers ask
How deep is Talisay?+
The coral plateau on top sits at around 5 m and the wall below it drops vertically to 30 m. Most of the dive is spent drifting along the face, and the shallow plateau makes an easy place to finish.
