Monte’s Divi Tree
A good chance of a seahorse under the divi tree

Monte’s Divi Tree is one of the southern sites of Klein Bonaire, a steeply sloping reef beneath a divi tree. It is reached only by boat, and divers come for the slope and the good chance of finding a seahorse.

The dive
Under the watchful eye of a divi tree on Klein Bonaire's southern shore, the reef starts at about 5 m (15 ft) and slopes steeply down to 30 m (100 ft). Divers working the slope have a good chance of finding a seahorse here.

Season follows Bonaire: The sea stays diveable all year; the water is at its coolest in late December and January.
