Gosei Maru is a small coastal freighter of 1937, at 82 m (270 ft) one of the smaller wrecks in Chuuk Lagoon, sunk by a single torpedo. It lies on its port side with the stern in shallow water, which allows long bottom times around the propellers and the sand beneath them.
Also known as Gosei.

The dive
The freighter lies on its port side with the stern between 9 and 3 m (30 and 10 ft) and the bow much deeper, down to 34 m. Being this shallow at the stern, it allows longish bottom times.
Under the propellers, the sand is riddled with holes busy with blind shrimp and their goby partners. Near the stern there are also props and china to find.
