Seven Pinnacles
Large dusky and golden groupers with barracuda circling overhead
Seven Pinnacles is a sunken reef off the Datça peninsula, with its top at about 22 m and its base at 38 m. It is one of the most popular dive sites in Datça, and divers go for the large dusky and golden groupers that hold on the reef and the barracuda that circle above it.

The dive
The dive can begin in shallow water, crossing a healthy Posidonia meadow before the face of the sunken reef rises ahead. Small boats more often drop divers straight onto the top of the reef at about 22 m, and from there it descends to 38 m. Big dusky and golden groupers meet divers on the reef while barracuda circle in the water above.
