Big Canyon
Amphorae up to 2000 years old along a drop-off to 38 m
Big Canyon is the wall on the northern tip of the Three Islands, a protected islet group off Tekirova. A reef plate of sharp rocks breaks off into a drop-off, and divers come for the small caves along it and the old amphorae lodged among the rocks.
Also known as The Big Canyon.

The dive
The boat drops divers on one side of the wall, and the dive runs all the way along it to the boat's mooring on the other side. The top is a reef plate at 9 m covered in sharp rocks; from its edge the drop-off falls to 38 m. Along the way the wall is full of small caves and hide-aways where fish shelter, and amphorae dating back up to 2000 years sit in the rock.
