Ko Ma Ping
A small sand-ringed island a stone's throw from Koh Rang

Ko Ma Ping is a small island just about 100 m from Koh Rang, the marine park about an hour west of Koh Kood by dive boat. Sand surrounds the island, and its depths of approximately 16 m draw freedivers as well as scuba divers.

The dive
The island is ringed by sand, and its northern side is a sandy area where the dive runs in the bay or off the beach. The water reaches approximately 16 meters, a depth freedivers come here for as well as scuba divers.

Season follows Koh Kood & Koh Mak: Mid-October to May brings calm seas and the clearest water; July to September turns choppy, with visibility down to 5 m.
