Krebsgarten is the easy shore site on the Meersburg lakefront, rated ideal for beginners and for divers new to Lake Constance. Steps lead off the promenade into a shallow area full of crayfish, and a course runs down the slope to about 20 m.
Also known as Krebsgarten.

The dive
Divers step into the water from a stairway on the promenade. Along the western part of the shore a gentle slope leads down to 5 m, and the course runs from there to about 20 m. Straight out from the stairs, at 18 m, lie the remains of a tent and a swivel chair.
Above 5 m the water tends to be murky, depending on the weather and how many divers have been in, and it clears noticeably further down. West of the round lakeside platform a varied slope keeps falling past 30 m, beyond the ordinary course.

Season follows Lake Constance: Diving runs all year; guided dives run from April to October, while December and January bring char and eels to the Parkhaus Post overhang.
Know before you go
- The stones at the entry can be very slippery, and extra care is needed when waves are running.
