Lantern Point
A chimney through the rock of Comino's south-west point

A headland on the south-west tip of Comino, dived by boat. Its main feature is a chimney through the rock, followed by boulders, swim-throughs and drop-offs, and it is rated for advanced divers despite its modest depth.
Also known as Ras i-Irqieqa, Ras l-Irqiqa, Lantern Point (Ras i-Irqieqa).

The dive
The main attraction is the chimney, which drops through the rock from 5 to 16 m. Beyond it the route continues over boulders and through swim-throughs to the drop-offs along the point.

Season follows Malta & Gozo: Jun–Sep is the main season, with the sea averaging 21–26 °C; it never drops below 14 °C, so diving carries on through the winter.
