MV Cominoland

A former Comino excursion boat scuttled at Xatt l-Aħmar in south-east Gozo in August 2006, alongside the Karwela. The 35 m hull sits upright at 40 m with two decks to explore, a deep wreck for advanced divers.

The dive
The 35 m hull of the former excursion boat stands upright on the seabed at 40 m, so the whole wreck lies deep. It has two decks, and the dive is spent exploring along and between them.

Cominoland was a Captain Morgan Cruises passenger ship, running tourist day trips around Comino and harbour cruises around Valletta. In August 2006 she was scuttled at Xatt l-Aħmar in south-east Gozo, together with the nearby Karwela, and the two hulls now form part of a group of wrecks dived from the same stretch of shore.

Season follows Malta & Gozo: Jun–Sep is the main season, with the sea averaging 21–26 °C; it never drops below 14 °C, so diving carries on through the winter.
