Abdi Reis Cove
Clear water that earned the cove its nickname, the Aquarium
Abdi Reis Cove sits by Yıldız Island and goes by the name Aquarium for its clear, bright water. The cove shelves from the surface to a deep bottom, so it suits a shallow look around as well as a deeper dive, and the Phosphorus Caves lie very close by.
Also known as Abdi Reis Koyu, Aquarium.
Where it is and how deep
36.8158° N, 28.2880° EApproximate position — the dashed circle shows where the site lies; your operator's briefing has the mooring.
The dive
The cove runs from the surface down to 33 m beside Yıldız Island, and beginners and experts both dive it, keeping shallow or going deep within that range. Boats come and go over the cove, so the dive ends with a careful ascent and a watch on the surface.
