Lagoon Mounding is an inner reef inside the barrier reef off Paje and Jambiani, with a varied coral landscape and mixed marine life. Nudibranchs, leaf fish, snake eels and pipefish are among its common sightings.

The dive

The dive covers an inner reef with a varied coral landscape. Common sightings include nudibranchs, leaf fish, snake eels, pipefish, batfish, scorpionfish, pufferfish and trumpetfish. The figure published for the three lagoon sites as one group is 6 m to 22 m, all of it inside the barrier reef.
