Secca di Campobello is an offshore shoal off Pantelleria whose top rises to 12 m from a seabed beyond 40 m. Strong current often sweeps across it, and divers go for the groupers, lobsters and large moray eels that live among the rocks on its deeper flanks.
Also known as Campobello.

The dive
Once the boat has dropped anchor, divers go down the anchor chain and reach the top of the shoal at about 14 m. From there the dive works down the flanks of the shoal, where the bottom is often swept by strong current.
At 38 m the rocks hide groupers, lobsters and large moray eels, the deepest part of the route. The seabed around the shoal lies deeper still, past 40 m.
