Fish Den

Fish Den is built around a single pillar of coral standing in a square-shaped cut in the reef wall, with the mooring set on top of it. The pillar tops out at about 7 m and drops to around 12 m, and the square hole slopes on down to 18 m before it rejoins the main wall, so the whole dive is one compact piece of structure.

The dive

Descend the mooring line onto the top of the pillar at about 7 m. It is worth circling it before anything else: the pillar stands clear of the reef in its own square cut, so you can swim right around it, and its base is at roughly 12 m, shallow enough to go round more than once without touching the dive plan.

From the base, the square hole in the reef slopes away and down, bottoming out at about 18 m where it joins the main wall. Follow it out, turn along the wall, then work back up towards the mooring for the shallow end of the dive. The top of the pillar at 7 m makes an obvious place to spend the safety stop, and nothing on the site is deep enough for no-decompression time to be what ends the dive.
