Quebra-mar
Seahorses and morays along a coral wall 3 km (two miles) long
Quebra-mar is a coral-covered wall about 3 km (two miles) long, reaching a maximum depth of 8 m. Seahorses, morays, lobsters and reef fish are common along it, which makes it a shallow, easy dive for newer divers and for anyone looking for small life.

The dive
Quebra-mar runs for about 3 km (two miles), a long wall covered in corals, and the dive follows a stretch of it rather than circling a single point. The maximum depth is 8 m, so the whole dive stays shallow and there is time to move slowly along the wall.
Seahorses are very common here, along with morays, lobsters and reef fish. Because the depth is so modest, the site suits newer divers and anyone who wants a long, unhurried dive looking for small animals along the coral, and it is among the most visited dive points of one of the city’s marina-based centres.
