Ponta de Peça
Mantas can pass off the cape
Ponta de Peça is a rocky wall on the cape that forms the last point on the coast before Tarrafal, on Santo Antão. Divers come for the boulder-strewn wall, the creatures sheltering among its rocks, and the chance of big animals out in the open water off the point.

The dive
The rocky wall descends to more than 40 m, scattered with big rocks whose gaps and holes house several species. Being on a point, the site can catch some current, and divers who keep watching the blue may meet mantas.
