Kayaker's Cove is a rustic lodge in Resurrection Bay, reached by water taxi from Seward, with a shallow dive over rock structure to a maximum of 12 m (40 ft). Small invertebrate life and greenling live among the rocks, and it is a modest, easy-going dive rather than one of the bay's headline sites.

The dive
The cove is reached by water taxi, which handles both the pick-up and the drop-off, and any stay at the cove is arranged ahead of time. The dive stays shallow, with the deepest water at about 12 m (40 ft), so the whole profile sits well inside open-water limits.
The interest lies in the rock structure itself and the smaller invertebrate life that covers it, with greenling moving among the rocks. It is a modest dive rather than a showpiece. The lodge is rustic and laid-back, with a shared hostel-style bunkhouse and rarely any cell reception, so a stay at the cove makes a quiet, inexpensive weekend.

Know before you go
- Currents in Resurrection Bay are variable and can be strong at times because of the large tidal changes.
