Republika Coral Ridge is a shore dive straight off the beach in front of Republika Beach Bar. Corals begin in the shallows and slope away to a ridge whose top lies 10 metres down and whose far end reaches 24. The entry is one of the easiest on Siquijor, which is why the site is also used for night diving.

The dive
You walk in in front of Republika Beach Bar, into an area with an abundance of corals that slowly goes down. It is described as one of the easiest diving entries on the island, and that is the reason the site doubles as a night dive rather than just a daytime one. From the shallows the swim runs out and to the south-west until the reef organises itself into a ridge, the top of it 10 metres below the surface.
Follow the ridge and it deepens as you go, reaching 24 metres at its far end, which makes a natural turnaround before you work back along the same structure and finish shallow. Green and hawksbill turtles are common here, along with yellow-fin barracuda and spotted snapper. Divers log visibility between 15 and 25 metres through the year, in water that sits between 27 and 30 degrees.
