Rap God Point is a connecting reef off Buka-Buka covered in hard corals and orange sponges. It starts at 16 m and slopes gradually up to 5 m, which makes it an easy profile to dive and an easy one to finish. The name joins rap, the local word for reef, with god for its scale.

The dive
The reef begins at 16 m and slopes gradually up to 5 m, so the dive plans itself: in at the deep end, then a long slow rise along the slope with the shallowest part of the reef doubling as the safety stop. Nothing about the profile is demanding, and the gentle gradient means you can stop wherever the reef is worth stopping at without losing the shape of the dive.
The cover is hard coral with orange sponges through it, which is what the site trades on rather than any single feature or animal. It is described as a connecting reef, so it works as a link between neighbouring parts of the reef system as well as a dive in its own right. The name reflects the same idea of scale: rap is the local word for reef, and god was added for its greatness.
