Wall-E
A gentle wall that runs straight into Black Forest

Wall-E is a wall dive off Una Una whose best section lies at 18 to 20 m, shallow enough that it is listed as ideal for beginners rather than as a deep wall. It ends where the wall merges into the neighbouring Black Forest coral site, so the last part of the dive is spent over hard coral rather than along a vertical face.

The dive
The wall is the whole dive, and the part worth the tank sits comfortably at 18 to 20 m. That is shallow for a wall, which is what makes the site an easy one: you swim the face at a fixed depth with the reef on one shoulder, no long descent, and no need to yo-yo up and down looking for the good section, because the good section is the depth you are already at.
The end of the dive is where the terrain changes. The wall does not simply stop; it merges into the Black Forest coral site next door, so the vertical face gives way to stands of temple, cabbage and mushroom coral without an obvious join, and the finish happens over those rather than in open water. It is a site for divers who want a wall without the depth that usually comes with one.
