Cheremshikha Island (the Wall)
A kelp-topped wall falling into deep water
Cheremshikha Island, known as the Wall, is a deep wall dive far out from Nilmoguba. An extensive kelp forest grows on the site and the wall drops into deep water in weak current, with sea bass, cod and wolffish living along it.

The dive
From 6 m at low tide the wall falls away towards 47 m, and the current along it stays weak. Sea bass, cod and wolffish (Anarhichadidae) live along the face, and an extensive kelp forest grows on this part of the island.

Season follows White Sea: Ice diving runs February to April while the sea ice holds; summer diving is by speedboat, with the water warmest in July.
