A fish-rich reef hiding a 50 m long cave

White Reef marks the western end of the Keri dive cluster, listed in the German catalogue as the Flintenlauf or 2-Finger-Riff. It is described as a reef rich in fish with both shallow and deep areas plus a 50 m long cave, over a profile averaging 14 m and reaching 30 m with no current reported.

The dive
The reef offers a choice of levels — the catalogue description gives it shallow and deep areas, with the listing averaging 14 m and topping out at 30 m — and there is no current reported to push the plan around. Visibility is rated good at 10 to 30 m, in line with the rest of the Keri coast, so the reef can be taken at whatever pace suits the group.
The feature that sets it apart is a 50 m long cave, a serious length of overhead for this coast, which should only be entered by divers with the training and lights to match. Around it the reef is described simply as rich in fish, and the shallow areas make an easy final stretch of the dive on the way back up to the boat.
