Gerupuk Slope
Hard coral formations along a wall near Kuta
Gerupuk Slope is a wall of hard coral at Gerupuk on the south coast of Lombok, dived on the half-day boat trips from Kuta. The dive runs along the face between 10 and 19 m, above a bottom at about 30 m, and it is a coral and reef-life dive rather than the exposed open-sea pinnacles of Belongas Bay.
Also known as Gerupuk Bay.

The wall is overgrown with fascinating hard coral formations, broken by a multitude of niches and crevices. Lobsters, crabs and stingrays hide in them, sweetlips, parrotfish and emperor fish swim along the face, and there is a good chance of meeting tuna or trevally.
