The Walter Darré is a boat-dived wreck lying between 25 and 35 m, west of Chausey, and is dived from Granville alongside the Anvers and the Heinrich Hey. At these depths it is a dive for experienced divers used to cold, tidal water.

The dive
The Walter Darré is reached by boat and dived as a wreck between 25 and 35 m. It lies west of the archipelago, on the opposite side from the Anvers, and the deepest parts at 35 m leave little time on the bottom on air.

Season follows Chausey Islands & Granville: The ratings follow the sea temperature, warmest in August and September (about 18 °C) and coldest in February (about 9 °C); no month is singled out for diving.
Know before you go
- At 35 m, bottom time on air is short; plan the dive and ascent before descending.
- Tidal currents run continuously in this part of the Channel; dive at the time the boat sets.
