Barracuda at the cave corner and an open chamber to surface in, off-season

A cave dive off Cabo de la Nao on the Jávea side of the coast, ranging from 8 to 30 m. Barracuda are almost a certainty off the corner of the rock on the right, just before the cave, and in the low season, when boat traffic is light, the dive can go into an open cave where divers surface for a couple of minutes inside the rock.

The dive
Organ's Cave covers a lot of depth for one dive, from 8 m down to 30 m, so the shape of the dive depends on how the guide runs it. The approach follows the rock towards the cave, and before you reach it there is a fixed appointment: off the corner of the rock on the right side, just before the cave mouth, barracuda are almost a certain sighting, and it is worth pausing there before going on.
The cave itself is the second half. In the low season, when there is not too much boat traffic overhead, the route can continue into an open cave where the group surfaces for a couple of minutes to take in the chamber before dropping back down and heading out. In the busier months, with boats above, that part is left out. The 8 to 30 m range means the profile is planned before entry rather than found on the way.

Season follows Costa Blanca: Dived all year, but the water sits near 14 °C from January to March and the season is treated as starting in spring; peak-season boat traffic closes some cave surfacing.
