Hallshuk
Underwater stacks that echo Gotland's raukar, plus fossil-rich slabs

Hallshuk is a natural shore dive below a high coastal cliff on the Hall peninsula in north-west Gotland. Underwater the rock forms giant potholes and stacks that look much like the raukar on land, with crevices running like corridors. It stays shallow, within 13 m, and the stone slabs are full of fossils.
Also known as Hallshuk Stenen, Halshuk, Halshuk – Stora stenen.

The dive
This is a natural dive over a rocky landscape of giant potholes and formations that resemble raukar, the limestone stacks on Gotland's shore. A few metres down, crevices form passages and hollows that can be followed like corridors. The stone slabs hold many fossils, and there is a good chance of plenty of flatfish on the bottom. The deepest point is 13 m.
