Casper
A wooden wreck with its mast, deep below the Digerhuvud drop-off
Casper is a wooden wreck lying deep off the skrevan entry at Digerhuvud on Fårö, dated to the late 1800s or early 1900s. The site reaches 50 m and is not suitable for sport diving, so it is a dive for technically trained divers. It is reached from the shore and is the jumping-off point for the older Stern wreck further out.
Also known as Casper and Stern wrecks, Digerhuvud Casper, Caspar, Kasper.

The dive
The wreck lies out from the skrevan, a cleft in the Digerhuvud shore by the last car park to the north. Divers swim down and slightly right over a steep gravel slope and meet the wreck at about 46 m. Casper is a wooden hull dated to the late 1800s or early 1900s, little more than a pile of planks with some frames standing and the mast lying out to the right. The depth puts it beyond sport diving, and it is the start of the swim out to the Stern wreck.
