Digerhuvud is a true drop-off on Fårö, a shore dive where steep ledges step down from the edge to about 55 m. Divers hang beside the cliff face in water that is usually clear, with cod tucked into the cracks. It is a dive for calm days only.
Also known as Digerhuvud (Fårö), Diggerhuvud, Digerhuvud, Fårö.

The dive
Divers enter from the shore and reach the drop-off straight from the edge, where steep ledges fall away in steps toward about 55 m. At around 30 m the dive turns into a swim along the wall, with the sensation of floating free beside the rock face. Sculpins and flounder move among the underwater cliffs, and cod usually sit in the cracks, so a torch is worth carrying. Visibility is mostly at least 20 m and can reach 40 m in spring.
