The dive
Boats for Piedras Negras leave from Mazagón or Punta Umbría and run several miles to the southeast to reach the rock. The seabed off this stretch of coast is mostly sand, and Piedras Negras is one of the patches of hard ground rising from it, with the dive on the rock at 18 m. The sediment that the Odiel and the Guadiana carry into the sea cuts the visibility along this coast, and trips go out guided and in small groups.
