The dive
Boats for Casa del Palo leave from El Rompido, on guided trips with no more than four divers per guide. The site is a reference point on this stretch of coast and the natural entrance to the flat rock slabs of the Willy zone, which lie on sand four miles off the coast facing Casa del Palo; the dive itself is on rock at 16 m.
Bucear Huelva describes it as a classic of the El Rompido zone, comfortable and with a great deal of fauna to photograph, and as a good option for chaining several dives in one day. The seabed around it is mostly sand, and river sediment from the Odiel and the Guadiana can lower the visibility on any given day.
