Hin Raab South
Staghorn coral and swarms of small reef fish on a shallow rock
Hin Raab South is the southern side of the Hin Rap rock pinnacle, a couple of kilometres south of Hin Luk Bat off Koh Chang. It is a shallow dive rather than a deep one, and divers come for its staghorn coral and the abundance of small reef fish living among it.
Also known as Hin Rap, Hin Rap South.
Where it is and how deep
11.9057° N, 102.3172° EApproximate position — the dashed circle shows where the site lies; your operator's briefing has the mooring.
The dive
The southern side of the pinnacle drops to no more than 16 m, so the dive stays shallow along the rock. Staghorn coral covers it and smaller reef fish gather in large numbers.
