Vevangstrømmen
A tide-driven ride through a narrow pass
Vevangstrømmen is a tidal drift through a narrow rock pass on the Atlantic Ocean Road coast. Divers ride the flow at 15–18 m past dead man's fingers, soft corals and anemones, with squid, catfish and anglerfish among the fauna. The current makes it a dive for those used to strong water.
Also known as Vevangstrommen.

The dive
At Vevangstrømmen the tide squeezes through a pass about 10 m wide and the current gains 3–4 knots. The recommended depth range is 15–18 m, and visibility is best on the incoming tide. Dead man's fingers grow in quantity along the pass, joined by nudibranchs, schools of fish, soft corals, anemones, squid, catfish and anglerfish.
