The boat anchors in 8 to 10 m of water and the dive starts by following the anchor line down. That is the sensible way in here, because the site is known for its current: the line gives you a fixed reference from the surface to the reef and the same reference on the way back, so nobody has to find the boat in open water.

The operator describes the site as shaped like a figure 8, usually started from the middle with the wall on your left shoulder. The outer wall drops to 40 m and is covered in coloured sponges and gorgonians; follow it with the rock on one side, checking the current and turning back with enough gas to return along the wall and up the line. Coming back to the middle you pass a small tunnel at 10 to 15 m.

The shallow leg between the site and Grgur is where the small life is. Nudibranchs, conger, octopus, lobster, sea bream, wrasse and scorpionfish are the animals most often met here, and the operator suggests looking into the anemones for spider crabs or, more likely, harlequin shrimp, so keep your pace slow and look into the holes before you head back up the anchor line.
