Forest is an ocean reef off La Parguera that holds a sampling of nearly every type of coral, sponge and fish found locally. Its bottom runs from 15 m (50 ft) at the shallowest to about 20 m (65 ft) at the deepest, and spotted drumfish, barracuda, sergeant majors and a friendly resident pufferfish are regulars.

The dive
The reef bottom lies between 15 m (50 ft) at its shallowest and about 20 m (65 ft) at its deepest, so the whole dive stays in a narrow depth range. Forest takes its name from its mix of growth: nearly every type of coral and sponge on the local reefs is represented here, and the fish life is just as varied, with too many species to list.
Spotted drumfish, barracuda and sergeant majors are among the regulars. A pufferfish the crew calls Pancho stays with the group for most of the dive, swimming around the divers. Forest is one of the shop's ocean reef sites, listed alongside Chimney and the flat, sandy-bottomed Estrella.
