Shark Coves
Occasional Mediterranean seal sightings off the Akrotiri peninsula
Shark Coves is one of the Akrotiri peninsula sites, a group with Twin Rocks and the Akrotiri Fish Reserve that is dived between 9 and 20 m. Visibility is always excellent and the water often carries good currents for drift diving. Green and loggerhead turtles turn up here, and a Mediterranean seal is an occasional visitor.
Also known as Sharks Coves.

The dive
The Akrotiri sites, Shark Coves among them, are dived between 9 and 20 m, and the current that often runs along this coast turns a dive into a drift. Visibility stays excellent, which helps when green and loggerhead turtles pass, and on rare dives a Mediterranean seal appears.
