Lady Thetis

An upright passenger ship with easy swim-throughs, laid down as a dive site

The Lady Thetis is a German-built passenger ship sunk off Limassol in 2014 to make a recreational dive site. The 30 m hull sits upright on the bottom in 18 m, with easy swim-throughs and room for penetration, and it has drawn large numbers of damselfish and parrotfish along with sea bream and groupers.

Also known as Lady Thetis Vessel.

The dive

The hull stands upright on the seabed at about 18 m, easily reached by Open Water divers. The structure offers a number of easy swim-throughs, and penetration options open up for more adventurous divers. Because the ship dug into the seafloor when she landed, the inside close to the keel goes deeper than the surrounding seabed. Damselfish and parrotfish gather in large numbers, local sea bream and groupers hold close to the hull, and jacks turn up seasonally.
