A ship that burned and ran aground in 1972, resting partly submerged off Akrotiri

The Three Stars is a ship that caught fire on a voyage and ran aground off the Akrotiri peninsula in 1972. Her remains rest partly submerged at around 7 m, and the shallow depth, good visibility and safe entry make her one of the most accessible dives in the Limassol area, open to divers of all levels.

The dive

The entry route to the wreck is a safe one, and the hull rests partly submerged in clear water at a depth of around 7 m, so the whole dive stays shallow. Colourful fish have made the structure their home, and sea plants now cover parts of the hull.
