Long coral and rubble slope that finishes against a wall

Baung Penyu, also called Turtle Neck or simply The Wall, pairs a long slope of coral and sandy rubble with a wall near Padangbai. The slope fills most of the dive and the wall comes at the end, before the route finishes in the Blue Lagoon bay.

The dive
Coral reef mixed with sandy rubble forms a long slope, and the route follows it until it meets the wall at the end of the dive. The wall rises from 25 m at its base to 3 m below the surface. The dive usually ends in the Blue Lagoon bay among soft coral formations at 5 m.

Season follows Padangbai & Candidasa: Diveable all year; mola mola are likeliest July to October, while the November to March wet season cuts visibility and makes the islets harder to dive.
