The house reef in front of Anda Scuba Diving is a wall starting at 5 m, sloping to 12 and then dropping steeply to 30. Divers call it Turtle City: cleaner fish work this stretch and turtles come in for them, mostly greens with some hawksbills, and sandy canyons cut down through the deeper part.

The dive
You walk in. The reef starts at 5 m right in front of the shop, slopes down to about 12 m, and then the drop-off steepens and runs to 30, so the whole shape of the dive sits within a few fin kicks of the entry. Sandy canyons cut down through the deeper section, which gives you lines to follow rather than a single face to swim the length of.
The turtles are the reason for the nickname. Cleaner fish work this stretch of reef and turtles come in to them, mostly greens with hawksbills among them, and a turtle settled at a cleaning station is an easier subject than one swimming past. Being the house reef in front of the shop, it is also the site here that is easiest to dive twice.
