Grotta dell'Isca
Surfacing inside the islet in a large chamber full of breathable air
Grotta dell'Isca is a shallow cave in a small islet off the Sorrento coast, one of the caves dived inside the Punta Campanella marine reserve. A vertical crevice leads in, and divers come to surface inside the rock in a large chamber of breathable air.

The dive
The cave opens in the islet of Isca, a private island once owned by the Italian playwright and actor Eduardo De Filippo. The way in is a vertical crevice only 7 m deep; inside, divers ascend and come up in a large room full of breathable air.

Season follows Punta Campanella & the Sorrento Coast: Spring and autumn bring the most tuna and yellowtail to Li Galli; the sea warms from 14 °C (57 °F) in February to 26 °C (79 °F) in August.
