Fuggiri Wall runs along the southern side of Fuggiri Island in Raa Atoll, 25 minutes by boat from You & Me Maldives. The top reef lies at 10 m and the wall drops straight to 35 m, with soft-coral overhangs between 12 and 18 m and big coral blocks at 25-30 m. It is a wall dive to plan by depth: the blocks first, then a slow pass back through the overhangs.

The dive

Drop in over the top reef at 10 m on the south side of Fuggiri Island and go straight down the wall, which falls vertically to 35 m. Plan the dive deepest-first: big coral blocks stand off the wall between 25 and 30 m, and that band is where the site's marine life gathers, so spend the first part of the dive there and watch no-decompression time, since there is nothing to slow a descent on a face this steep.

Coming back up, level off between 12 and 18 m, where the wall is cut with many overhangs hung with soft corals. This is the part of the dive to slow right down for; the overhangs are the photographic feature of the site and the depth is comfortable, so the remaining time can go here. Finish on the top reef at 10 m and ascend from there for the safety stop.
