Monkey Shoal Reef
Pristine hard coral ringed by sand strips to 37 m (120 ft)
Monkey Shoal Reef lies on the way from St. Kitts to Nevis and is visited when the seas are calm. Its hard coral is clean and pristine, the visibility is usually excellent, and white sand strips run off the reef in every direction from 15 m (50 ft) down to 37 m (120 ft).

The dive
The reef top lies at about 12 m (40 ft), and the site runs down to 37 m (120 ft) where the sand strips fall away. Trigger fish fill the reef, and barracuda, moray eels and large nurse sharks are common, in a current that is usually mild.
