A reef halfway up St. Vincent's leeward coast, named for an 18th-century anchor buried in its coral and voted one of the top 100 dive sites in the world. The dive starts on reef in the shallows and follows a wall-like peninsula down, with swim-throughs and a coral reef formation along the way.

The dive

The reef begins at 9 m (30 ft) and then falls away as a wall-like peninsula to 37 m (120 ft). Divers follow the wall into a maze of large rocks, caves and swim-throughs over the coral reef formation, and the old anchor lies buried within the reef itself.

The site sits in a jungly bay, with black corals on the rock. Frogfish in several shades, longsnout seahorses, porcelain two-spot octopus and goldentail morays all turn up here.
