Dafina Bay
A half-submerged sea cave in a Posidonia-floored bay
Dafina Bay is a partially sheltered bay on the outer side of the Karaburun Peninsula, inside the core zone of the Karaburun-Sazan marine park. It is a shallow, current-free boat dive over seagrass in a bay with a small gravel beach, used as an easy dive for new divers.

The dive
The bottom of the bay is mostly covered in healthy patches of Posidonia seagrass, which the dive follows at no more than 10 m. The bay also has a small gravel beach and a shallow marine cave that sits half in and half out of the water.

Season follows Vlora, Karaburun & Sazan: Trips run all year, to Sazan as well as the peninsula; the sea is warmest from July to September and coolest in February.

Is Dafina Bay suitable for newly certified divers?+
Yes. Dafina is a partially sheltered bay without current, and its Posidonia bottom lies no deeper than 10 m, within Open Water limits.
